Examples of the Eight Step Guide’s use:

  • The Washington State Department of Health uses the Eight Step Guide as a community engaging resource in their Healthy Communities Tool Kit, a booklet based on lessons learned from the efforts of two Washington State cities to address health problems associated with the lack of physical activity and poor nutrition.
  • The National Maternal and Child Health Center for Child Death Review offers the Eight Step Guide as a tool to aid Child Death Review Teams in understanding why children die and taking action to prevent other deaths.
